Bottom line: They use DirectTV and there was a snowstorm so no TV during the NFL playoff games. The room I received (for a discount price on Kayak) was worth 3 times what I paid. The front desk was very friendly and informative. My first impression was absolutely awesome. This was completely unacceptable and will be looking for a different hotel next year for our next park n fly. Had we known this might have been an issue, we would have happily agreed to an earlier shuttle time, but instead the hotel chose to take their chances with jeopardizing our flight schedule. The hotel should’ve paid attention to their shuttle schedule and known that there were too many people marked down for 4am, and then arranged with their guests to move a few times around in order to accommodate everyone. This put us behind at the airport, almost making us late for check in. The van did not return to pick us up, along with another family that was waiting, for another 15 minutes.

When we arrived in the lobby a few minutes early, we were told that the shuttle had just left with a full van and would be right back. Our biggest complaint was the shuttle to the airport. The menu was a meat-lovers paradise, but there are plenty of salad options too. And he used none of that “I’m sure it’s fine” or “You should be okay with that” business. Our sever was on the ball and assumed there would be no problem with this appetizer, but made a trip to the kitchen to double check. This one was refreshing and not too sweet, I would order it again. Trendy, yet welcoming bar (with a ladder, how cool is that?) Their list of beers and cocktails was impressive, and while I stayed with a tried-and-true hard cider, my husband and our friends took advantage of the unique cocktails they had to offer. The bar area welcomes you when you arrive, with a trendy atmosphere and choice of a high top table or the bar - our bartender, Micah was outstanding. (I’ve always had good gluten-free luck with their restaurants.) The decor alone is reason enough for a visit - each piece fits perfectly and was the talk of our table. The Rumpus Room opened in 2011, a European-inspired gastropub, part of the Bartolotta group. Plenty of Milwaukee food friends had been talking up The Rumpus Room, so it was time to get in there and see what all the chatter was about. My “ Dining Out” list gets new additions on a regular basis (I wait to list them here until I’ve tried them out myself.) and there are emails, texts and Facebook updates of more gluten-free options popping up in Milwaukee all the time. Can hardly believe I’m saying that, but it’s true. I’m having a hard time keeping up with all of the gluten-free options in Milwaukee.
